While I didn't know about the game, my mother took a chance with the gift and I didn't like it. She knew I was invested in cars and racing as a kid and I've had a Sega Dreamcast for a year at this point. I was introduced to the series during one Christmas/Birthday when I received Sega Rally 2 from my mother as a "shot in the dark" gift. Yes, being a racing fan is one of the reasons, but aside from Ridge Racer, Sega Rally was one of my favorite arcade racing series thanks to one title in particular. More information on the project can be read via the FAQs posted on Facebook and it was a project I closely followed. The origin of the project was to create a "photo-realistic arcade tribute" to the Sega Rally series. What we have is a playable build of a passion project created by Alessandro Schiassi, announced almost exactly a year ago.

The good news is that the developer has stated that a more complete demo is on the horizon next month. If achieved, it would surpass a 25-year-old console sales record set when the original PlayStation shipped 22.6 million units in FY98.I preface this by saying that this is a very early Alpha build of the game and my discussion of Over Jump Rally itself will be very brief. The company aims to ship 25 million PS5 consoles during FY2023 (the 12-month period ending on March 31, 2024). In April, Sony announced its plans to sell a record number of PlayStation consoles during this fiscal year. PS5 system updates released later in March fixed an issue with how Game Library content was being displayed and another issue that was causing Discord voice chat to disconnect. Other new features included the ability to transfer data between PS5 consoles, an option to upload game captures to the PlayStation App, using voice commands to capture video clips, and the ability to sort and filter games when adding them to a game list. It also introduced Variable Refresh Rate support for displays that support 1440p resolution. In addition to Discord voice chat, it added the ability to start or request a Share Screen session with a friend directly from their profile. The console's last major update was rolled out in early March, following its beta launch in early February. The last firmware update for the PS5 was version 23.01-07.20.00, which was released in April.
