Given the delays in releasing Hogwarts Legacy to the Switch, it is likely that developers are facing a problem with getting Hogwarts Legacy to run smoothly. Many players that are not able to progress as efficiently as others, simply due to the lack of large amounts of time that they can devote to playing, will benefit from this additional option and be able to make more progress than they would otherwise.
Since the Switch would provide the option of putting in 20 minutes here or there while on the go, which is a perfect amount of time to complete a small task like the Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy or a side quest, it actually makes it the ideal console for this type of game. If Hogwarts Legacy were to be placed on a handheld console, this solves a lot of the problems that players are experiencing in this way. Therefore, players are forced to play for long stretches or inconveniently check in when able. While playing this on traditional consoles is perfectly viable, a lot of these tasks require simply too much time to devote in one sitting.
As many know, there are seemingly endless activities and story quests to complete in Hogwarts Legacy.
